Describe the roles, responsibilities and their scope of practice of each of. the professional groups in the available team. Demonstrate an appropriate knowledge of related professional, legal and. ethical issues. Demonstrate an appropriate knowledge of the normal development of. pregnancy. Demonstrate an appropriate knowledge of the processes involved in labour. and delivery. Demonstrate an appropriate knowledge of risk management including risk. assessment. Demonstrate an awareness of the commonest emergencies related. Suitable for: Non-maternity healthcare professionals who may have to respond to a maternity care emergency. This includes A&E nurses, GP Practice Staff, Out of Hours Staff, Ambulance technicians particularly in remote locations but not exclusively.
