The course aims to provide you with basic skills for work including building your own website, creating a portfolio and learning social media skills. On the practical side we can advise you regarding your performance and help you record tracks, advise you on maketing and selling your work and assist you in finding work experience. Suitable for: Anyone starting out in creative and performing arts; anyone interested in pursuing a career in DJ/MCing, or creative or performing arts; we specialise in dealing with people from disadvantaged or sifficult backgrounds - everyone is welcome at DJ School!

Klair is on hand to assist with all your functional and IT skills requirements, from creating a portfolio and website to organising your book keeping and writing your creative CV. Klair can also assist with creative writing and art projects.

Course programme

The Employment & Arts Training Programme is geared towards performing and creative artists of all backgrounds, with a view to assisting you to gain meaningful employment in this area. We can currently provide training in:

  • Rapping
  • DJing & MCing
  • Video creation
  • Writing & recording music
  • Acting & script writing
  • Creative writing & Poetry
  • Comics & Illustration
  • Creative & fine arts
  • Crafts & design
  • Street dance
  • Website creation & IT
  • DJ classes come with the option to complete basic, advanced and intermediate OCN accredited certificates. Drama and IT will be certified shortly. All other courses offer OCN accredited certificates of completion.

    Classes for groups by arrangement, classes for individuals are available on a bespoke basis and can be arranged to suit.

    Payment options: Prices can be paid on a £3/week basis.
    Comments: We can offer 1-to-1 private tuition or cater to larger groups. We can also arrange group workshops for local centres and organisaiotns. Please contact us for further information.
