The enameller is the person in charge of enamelling operations, the enamel processing process, a fusible inorganic coating that is fixed on metal or ceramic at high temperature (from 500 to 900 ° C). It is a glass-based substance of any color, often applied to ceramic objects and in industry it is applied to steel, cast iron and aluminum. It thus becomes a protection from oxidation, water and acids. The chemical composition is similar to that of glass, as formed by a mixture of silica, sodium or potassium carbonate, it gives an opaque appearance with the addition of tin and other metal oxides.
