How will I study?

The course is driven by the needs of industry. It is an innovative practical programme that provides a foundation for a range of technical and management careers in the Engineering Industry.The course supports the development of relevant skills including: Practical: CAD / CAM / PLC’s / Hydraulics / Design / Quality Improvement / Science / Maths / Materials / Pneumatics / Manufacturing / Robotics Personal: Business / Communication / Negotiation / Presentation / Research / / Professional practice / Planning / / / Problem solving A series of professional projects will develop learners skills in a supportive environment through: Discussions, critiques and case studies Practical skills development and application through workshop activities Employer engagement and guest speakers that will give a real insight into current developments E-learning The work-based component is critical in providing opportunities for learning in a realistic environment.
How will I be taught?

The programme will be delivered in a variety of learning environments which will help to support development of the learners self study skills. A variety of practical and theoretical applications will be used to reinforce the learning along with a strong emphasis on work related learning in the industry. The emphasis is on implementing engineering solutions for the modern engineering environment.
How will I be assessed?

Student assessment involves three assignments per module of which one may be a be a controlled assignment, all assigned work would need to be completed by assignment deadline dates. Each module is assessed by individual or group coursework assignments.
