Course programme
This course is designed to help you become a more effective writer, in university and beyond. We all write for many purposes and in many ways. And since we all learn to write from reading, in this course you will read many pieces of writing of different types. For some assignments you will write succinct responses to narrowly focused questions, for others you will write short summaries, and for others you will write thoughtful, well-organized pieces of several pages in length. As the course continues, you will move from writing informally about personal experiences to writing reasoned arguments in a more formal style.
