2. Course description Course aim: The aim of this course is to extend language skills to work towards fluency and accuracy. At the Advanced level you will:• recognise and use a complex range of grammatical and lexical structures, • learn to use natural English expressions, including the use of idioms, phrasal verbs, collocations, synonyms and metaphors • improve your fluency.By the end of the course you will be able to communicate effectively and talk about a wide range of subjects related to yourself, society, culture and the world around us.

3. Entry requirements Advanced Level is for learners who are near fluent speakers of English. To find out which level is best for you, come along to our Advice and Enrolment session to take a short grammar test and speak to the tutors.Information, Advice & Enrolment sessions will take place on the following dates and times:Monday 24th April 2017 6.30-8.00pmWednesday 26th April 2017 10.00 - 11:30amClasses are friendly and informal. Sometimes you will work in pairs or groups so that you can practise speaking more. Your tutor will give you regular feedback and help you to assess your progress and achievement.We welcome learners with additional needs and disabilities. Please let staff know if you require any extra support when you enrol and they will arrange for a member of the Supported Learning Team to contact you to discuss your support needs. Surrey Adult Learning values and supports equality and diversity by promoting fairness and respect at all times. 4. Equipment required Please bring a notepad and pen.
