3. Entry requirements You need to undertake a BKSBassessment and score at least level 2 in order to enrol on this course. You will be asked to do a piece of writing.If you score below level 2 we have a wide range of courses to prepare you to progress onto this course.--The course is free to all adults who do not previously have a GCSE English A*-C. 4. Equipment required No equipment required 5. Assessment method Reading and writing skills will be assessed through 2 one-hour examinations and a controlled assessment. A folder of coursework will be completed in class but under exam conditions. This will comprise descriptive writing, a short story, an essay on a set novel and a commentary on a spoken English text. Speaking and listening skills will be assessed throughout the course.
