Course programme
The course includes ESOL, Literacy, Citizenship, Numeracy, ICT, a vocational taster at higher levels and a Tutorial. The Tutorial provides support and input on some of the information and life skills needed to live in the UK.
ESOL exams are taken in February and July.
Functional Maths is taught in order to allow learners to be able to use the correct language for numbers, money, work, time and life style choices. Numeracy qualifications are taken during Numeracy sessions, at appropriate levels.
ICT is taught at different levels, according to need.
Entry 3/Level 1 students will have the opportunity to try vocational options including Construction, Sport & Active Leisure, Hair & Beauty, Public Services, Health & Social Care, Hospitality, Business Administration, Caring for Children, Creative Media Production, Motor Vehicle Maintenance and Performing Arts.
