The School of Music recognizes the importance and value in entrepreneurial learning. As the professional landscape for music in the 21st century changes, musicians must increasingly rely on their ability to spearhead fulfilling artistic endeavors and create employment opportunities for themselves.
The certificate in entrepreneurial studies in music provides you with a safe environment where you can take creative risks; develop entrepreneurial, marketing, networking, and grant-writing skills; and learn from successful artists. The program will teach you how to better manage and navigate the increasing demands on 21st century musicians by blending a curriculum of both music and business courses.
Open to both undergraduate and graduate students, the certificate can be completed in tandem with undergraduate and master’s degree programs and as a doctoral secondary area.
