For people who have an interest in working on and repairing the modern-day motor car and who would like to work in the motor trade.
What qualifications or experience do I need ?You will need a minimum of five GCSE grades A - G including maths, English and Science.
What will I study ?The programme covers the following units; health & safety, engineering equipment and materials, power units, liquid cooling systems, fuel & lubrication and transmission systems.
How will I be assessed ?The course has a wide variety of assessment methods including practical assessment, on-line testing, unit end-tests and coursework, all of which have to be completed for success.
What qualifications could I achieve ?IMIAL Entry Level 3 Diploma in Vehicle Technology
How do I join the course ?You will need to complete an application form and return it to the admissions team either on-line or by post. You will then be interviewed by a member of the course team or other designated interviewer and may be required to complete a pre-enrolment assessment.

Any extra costs for equipment/materials ?Whilst every attempt is made to keep the costs to the candidate to a minimum, the college reserves the right to charge candidates amounts over and above published fees in response to any additional charges from the awarding body. You will need to purchase the department uniform, protective boots and course books. You will also need to pay for some trips and visits
