2. Course description Environmental conservation covers a wide range of areas including the conservation of natural habitats, management of public access and enjoyment of the countryside. Apprentices attend College one day a week to complete knowledge-based qualifications. There is a mandatory health and safety unit and a choice of ten optional units. The optional units will be chosen in association with the employer. Please note, this apprenticeship is correct at time of publishing, but may be subject to change due to impending government reforms

3. Entry requirements You must be working in a countryside or environmental role and be interested in developing your skills. Alternatively, we have a number of vacancies available every week and can help you find an employer.Intermediate apprentices must have GCSE Maths and English at grade 3 (grade D) or above, or equivalent. 4. Equipment required No equipment required 5. Assessment method Assessment will be through coursework, portfolio of evidence and practical assessments, leading to a Level 2 Certificate in Land based Activities.
