Introduction:
‌Environmental Geography is the integrated study of the world, its landscapes, places, people and their relationship with the environment. Environmental Geography seeks to make sense of the world we live in and is unique in bridging the environmental and social sciences.
‌ While Physical Geography and Human Geography are disciplines in their own right, Environmental Geography combines these subjects to provide a much-needed capability to study and understand interactions between people, and between people and the environments in which they live. Environmental Geographers have expert knowledge and skills to research, analyse and communicate how the changing environment affects our lives. Their ability to visualise geographical issues at different spatial scales, from global to local and to offer solutions to some of our most pressing environmental problems, ensures that graduates in Environmental Geography are highly sought after by a wide range of employers.
This subject may be studied in combination with a number of other subjects - learn more.
