Environmental Legislation and Policy Course
About the Level 4 Environmental Legislation and Policy Certificate
In the United Kingdom, there are specific policies which exist to protect and maintain the environment. In fact, effective sewage management, high air quality and clean water are all dependant on rigorously enforced legislation. However, it is not just the government and large scale companies who need to be aware of the rules in this area.
All businesses, no matter how big or small, should be aware of environmental policy. This course has been designed especially for individuals and companies who want to learn more about things such as waste, water, air and noise legislation. Students on this course will also examine issues to do with planning and conservation and the influence of the EU on British legislation.
Who should study this course?
This home study course has been tailored towards small business owners, aspiring environmental managers and those who work for larger scale companies. It is also an interesting qualification for those who have a lively interest in environmental protection and activism.
As with most of our home learning courses here at Stonebridge College, students won’t need any prior qualifications before they enrol. All they will need is a way to access our course materials, and the motivation to study independently.
What happens after the course?
On successful completion of this distance learning course, our learners will have a fundamental understanding of how environmental law and environmental policy work in the UK. This knowledge can now be channelled into personal business ventures, or even used as a basis for further study.
If students decide to study a higher level environmental legislation and policy course, they could open themselves up to plenty of new opportunities. Those who are educated in this field could go on to secure work in one of the following roles:
Environmental officer
Project manager
Town planner
