About this course
200 UCAS points including an A2-level pass (or equivalent) in a science subject or geography.
Applicants should also have five GCSEs at grade C or above (or equivalent) in any subjects.

Teaching is in small class groups by a highly qualified, experienced and enthusiastic team in a friendly and supportive environment.
Throughout your studies you will have access to the university’s modern, well-equipped laboratories where you will have the opportunity to enhance your practical lab skills.
Many of the teaching rooms at the university are equipped with state-of-the-art audiovisual aids.
What you will learn
You will establish your knowledge and understanding of environmental science and focus on some of the key areas including conservation, pollution, sustainability, community participation and action, terrestrial and freshwater ecology and environmental management for businesses. You will also consider associated themes such as social issues, housing and tourism through related fields such as community studies.
This is a vocationally-orientated course which gives you the opportunity to develop your practical, analytical, interpersonal and presentation skills as well as enhancing your laboratory skills and research methods which you can use for seeking employment within the environmental field.
You will develop a range of subject-specific skills and knowledge which, together with the enhancement of your transferable skills and personal development, are greatly valued by employers.
