About this course
There are no formal entry requirements. Your level of English will be assessed via a variety of reading, writing, speaking and comprehension tasks and your maths level will be assessed via an
on-line maths initial assessment programme. Based on the results of these assessment tasks, you will be allocated an entry 1, entry 2, entry 3, level 1 or a level 2 course. It is possible for you to move to the next level during the academic year.

Course programme
Year 1
You will attend a modular programme consisting of English, maths, ICT, office skills, guidance, citizenship, history and science that will prepare you to access further education and employment opportunities. You will be improving your reading, writing, speaking and listening skills along with several vocational skills. The course also includes general studies, vocational tasters, projects, work experience and a programme of enrichment including sports and educational visits. You will be required to complete a work experience placement and an employability programme.
