ENTRY REQUIREMENTS: None - just the want to improve your skills in English if it is not your first language

WHO IS THE COURSE FOR?
Anyone who feels their skills in English as a second language could be improved. This will depend on the individual and will cover a wide range of needs. The course will cover reading, writing, speaking and listening. It will help individuals to become part of their local community by breaking down language barriers.

WHAT WILL I LEARN?
The English course covers Speaking and Listening, Reading and Writing at Entry Level, Level 1 and Level 2.

HOW WILL I LEARN?
Class sizes are small on average about 10 learners per class and are held at the College and in Ryde. A variety of teaching methods will be used to meet the different learning styles of the learners. Your individual goals and targets will be discussed with your tutor and work will be at your own pace to ensure that they are met.

WHAT CAN THIS COURSE LEAD TO?
The course will lead to a City and Guilds qualification in ESOL Skills for Life at the appropriate level for you which can be taken at any point during the course.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Course fees are payable on enrolment and are:

(2 hour lesson per week for 36 weeks)

EU residents £229.00 per year

Non EU residents £586.00 per year

Learners may be eligible for fee concession if in receipt of a means tested benefit
