Course programme

Year 1

This course follows the adult ESOL curriculum helping learners to operate and achieve at national ESOL standards in speaking and listening.
You will be required to take an accredited exam at the end of the course and will have regular reviews. Your tutor will set individual targets for you to work towards to improve your English level.


There are no formal entry requirements for this course. However, you will be contacted to attend an initial assessment interview where you will speak with an assessor and complete a short writing and reading exercise. The assessor will then offer a class that suits you and is at the appropriate level.

Additional information

You will be assessed via summative methods within the classroom setting and by formal speaking and listening exam based assessment.
