History

Essential Nails was founded in 1998 when they developed the world acclaimed Nail Trainer practice hand. Nail Trainer is recognised as the primary training aid for nail students, unlike a live model it never gets tired, never complains, never gets hurt and is always available for practice. Removing the need for a number of live models Nail Trainer has become the heart of the Diploma courses, allowing anyone to learn anywhere and be assessed remotely. Since the first Acrylic course in 2001, courses have been created in Gel, Fibreglass, Sculpting, Maintenance, Airbrush, Nail Art, Manicure and Pedicure. Courses are now available in four languages and over 24,000 students in 32 countries have received training course from Essential Nails

Distance learning is the modern way to learn new skills. Essential Nails understand you don't have time for conventional classroom courses, you need a course to fit around a busy lifestyle. You can train when you want where you want, with no time limits on how long you take to complete the course. All courses contain a comprehensive kit of every tool, product and consumable students need throughout the course. You are taught to a high practical standard. Unlike many distance learning courses that are paper based, Essential Nails Diploma courses require you to do lots of practical work. You have to be able to make salon quality nails to pass the course. Your tutor on DVD is a nail expert, but if you do get stuck there is friendly phone and email support at hand from your student support coach.
