The degree course in European and Rest of the World Languages ​​and Cultures aims to train graduates with high-level skills in two linguistic-cultural areas with a strong global vocation: at least one European (between English, Spanish, French and German) and one second European or extra-European choice between Russian, Chinese and Arabic. The course includes the teaching of history, literature and linguistics in a training system aimed at overcoming methodological nationalism in the approach to cultural phenomena. The aim of the course is to train graduates in possession of the command of two foreign languages, associated with the ability of metalinguistic analysis, and a solid knowledge of the cultural and literary heritage of the reference civilizations. It also aims to provide skills in theoretical linguistics, in Italian language and literature, history, philology and, depending on the chosen curriculum, in other specific subjects. The course includes the acquisition of basic computer skills. The Degree Course is divided into three curricula: European languages ​​and literary cultures; Linguistic sciences and European languages ​​and literature; European languages, literatures and artistic cultures. The curriculum will train a graduate with a sure written and oral command of two European foreign languages, of the linguistic system of reference, as well as of at least one area philology, in-depth knowledge, also in a comparative perspective, of the literatures and of the European cultural dimension to which they belong, basic competence in theoretical linguistics, aimed at analyzing texts and identifying the principles of their constitution,
