Course programme

The European Union and events in Europe affect us daily. From budget negotiations in Brussels, to complex policy regulations in the area of environmental protection, the EU is all around us and influences our lives. Understanding the EU and wider European Politics, such as the political systems of other European countries therefore is of key importance to understand contemporary political developments in the United Kingdom and beyond. Our innovative and exciting programmes seek to enhance student understanding of these issues and many more, drawing on historical and up-to-the-minute discussions and debates. We pride ourselves on the warm atmosphere and inclusive spirit of our programmes and learning environment. Our teaching has been awarded for its innovative character, particularly the student-centred nature of learning and assessment, while the research activities of our staff mean that we are at the forefront of our disciplines.
