About this course

By interview and presentation. All candidates will be required to give a presentation (topic given in advance) before being interviewed. Preferably 2 Higher grade passes (bands A-C). Candidates must be able to demonstrate good communication skills. Alternatively, an appropriate range of SQA NC modules (or equivalent) supported by relevant work experience will be considered.

Course Description
This course is for those who would like to pursue a career in the management of events particularly within the Music Industry. Course Content
Event Organisation; Event Applications, Managing An Event, Event Budgeting & Funding; Event Legislation: Safety and Licensing, Live Performance Management; Administration and Management; Event Legislation; Business and Venture Planning; Managing Financial/Human Resources; ICT; Event Marketing.

Progression
Successful completion of the HNC will give articulation to the HND and then potential Progression to a Degree programme. Alternatively, candidates could seek employment in many branches of the very varied Events Industry or within the Music Industry.
