Course Overview

This course will enable delegates to gain a good general understanding of the main features of Excel, giving them the ability to produce standard spreadsheets, create formulae and format and print spreadsheets.
Prerequisites
  • Delegates should be familiar with using computers and have used a mouse and keyboard.
  • Delegates should be comfortable in the Windows environment and be able to use Windows to manage information on their computer.
  • Delegates should specifically be able to launch and close programs, navigate to information stored on the computer and manage files and folders.


Objectives


    Delegates will be able to :
  • Create a spreadsheet that will contain data, navigate the spreadsheet using keyboard shortcuts, add new columns & rows and save the spreadsheet to their own folder.
  • Create and format a spreadsheet using the main features of the formatting toolbar to change the appearance of the spreadsheet.
  • Perform the following calculations on a range of numbers: addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
  • Use sum, average, count, min and max on a range of numbers to speed up basic calculation.
