The money changer clerk is the one who regulates exchange operations not only for cash and by check but also through the use of a credit or debit card. The professional exercise towards the public of the currency exchange activity, also on a seasonal basis, consisting in the spot negotiation of means of payment in foreign currency, is reserved for subjects registered in a special register kept by the Body provided for by article 128- undecies of the legislative decree 1 September 1993, n. 385. Art. 2 of Ministerial Decree April 2, 2015, in force since July 29, 2015, broadly confirms the definition of the activity in question of the previous legislation, namely "The professional exercise of currency exchange activities towards the public, even on a seasonal basis , consisting in the spot negotiation of means of payment in foreign currency, is reserved for subjects registered in the specific register kept by the Body, pursuant to Article 17 bis paragraph 1 of Legislative Decree 141/2010 and ss. mm. A money changer is a person who exchanges one currency for another. The rates at which these exchanges occur are generally changing and determined by international exchange rates. A person can act in this capacity independently or can be employed. Your income may come from service fees or fluctuating currency values. An exchange accepts one type of currency from its client and exchanges it for an equivalent amount in another currency. In some cases, the exchange rates will be fixed. It is more common, however, that trading rates are determined by current international exchange rates. These are constantly evolving and the most accurate money changers usually operate using electronic systems that can respond to exchange rates from minute to minute. Currency traders with less access to innovative tools are more likely to have a rate that remains fixed throughout the day.
