What will I study on the course?
As the Internet evolves, we are continually discovering vulnerabilities--people trying to take advantage of these systems and exploit weaknesses. Right alongside them are the people trying to stand in their way. As we have become more and more connected our dependence on the internet has resulted in the development of things like larger than life company networks and cloud computing. Those innovations have driven a demand for internet security specialists. In fact, the digital revolution has created new jobs that didn't even exist five or ten years ago. You will study Cyber Security and Network Engineering best practices in the design of secure modern networks, as well as how to secure existing computers and network systems. Combining security theory and hands-on practices, course topics include computer systems, mobile and network forensics, Windows and Linux security, incident response, evolving threats and the proper use of specific security tools. Learners will learn best practices for the design of secure modern networks as well as how to secure existing computers and networks and will learn about evolving threats and the proper use of specific security tools.
