Why is External Wall Insulation Training a Good Idea?

External wall insulation will play a major part in the Green Deal and the demand for EWI is soaring following the launch of the Green Deal and Energy Company Obligation (ECO) earlier this year. Under the Green Deal a Green Deal Advisor will need to recommend that external insulation is implemented on a property. In terms of ECO and the Green Deal, the current market split is more in favour of external wall insulation than internal wall insulation as it is a more established market however, with time, the split is expected to become more even and many properties are likely to require a hybrid of the two.

Green Deal Installers will need to be accredited to carry out the work and Able Skills can help facilitate the training and information needed to start working the market.

The prediction from many, including EWI systems manufacturers, is that the demand for qualified installers will be huge and that at present, there are not enough qualified individuals to undertake this area of work. If you think that this is an area of work in which you might excel then we suggest that you start training straight away.

Qualifications will be the requirement for all installers and you need to start somewhere, either with this advanced option or with our 5 day New Entrants EWI course
