The programme focuses on specific welding and fabrication skills and recognises what a person is able to do at work. It involves the skills and knowledge needed to execute the job, ability to organise work and spotting and preventing problems. This level 2 fabrication and welding learning area programme follows a City and Guilds level 2 diploma, level 2 units in the EAL performing engineering operations NVQ and the Essential Skills Wales units.
About this course
A minimum of 3 GCSEs A* - D including English or Welsh as a first language and a Science with Maths at a grade C or above. Applicants may hold a level one welding certificate and have a keen interest in welding or fabrication.
