Have you always dreamed of working for a top department store or becoming a fashion designer? Fashion Retail at level 2 can give you access to work experience opportunities with well known retailers and an insight into the way fashion retailers work. You will study an exciting range of specialisms including personal shopping and style, fashion trends and forecasting and customer service. The course gives you the overview of the sector from shop floor to head office so that you can explore the industry from head to toe.

Course programme
Entry Requirements
You will be required to have either a full level 1 qualification in Fashion or Retail, or 4 GCSE's grade D-G. Prior experience in retail would also be considered for access to this course. You must have or be working towards a level 1 qualification in maths and English.
Delivery and Assessment
All assessment is via coursework based projects. A variety of in-class teaching and assessment methods will be used to assess your progress including: role play, presentations, reports, sketchbooks and the creation of mood boards. The course combines visual and practical activity with a theory base. You will also complete an element of 'real' working experience through work placements and/or 'live' project briefs.
Progression
After completing the course you can progress onto a level 3 diploma and specialise in Visual Merchandising, Styling, Buying, Promotion or Retail Management. You can then progress onto a career in the fashion retail sector such as shop floor supervisor, visual merchandiser or assistant buyer.
