This course is taught at Northbrook MET's West Durrington campus in Worthing - a dedicated campus for the creative industries... Develop a range of theoretical and practical skills that are needed within the games industry. In the first year, you will gain fundamental skills relating to games design and development - including programming, developing 2D graphics, 3D modelling and game design theory... These skills are further extended in the second year, using industry-standard tools and technologies to gain practical experience of building a range of multimedia assets and prototype games... PCs in the teaching rooms are regularly updated with a range of industry-standard software. Students also have access to flexible learning areas where they can seek support from specialist staff for a range of software applications, publications and databases... On completion of the two-year FdA course, students can progress to the optional third year BA top-up course.
