About this course

Throughout this course you will develop significant practical skills, balancing theory with work-related experience. We place a lot of emphasis on industry standards from Microsoft and Cisco, making graduates more desirable to employers seeking computer literate staff.

The foundation degree is designed to meet the needs of industry and graduates will be qualified to work as programmers, IT support services, software and network engineers and database administrators. You may choose to conduct research in operating systems, information retrieval or systems engineering.

Graduates also have the option to develop their expertise further on a conversion course taking their foundation degree up to an honours in a related or specialist area.

A typical offer will be a UCAS Tariff score of 80. A minimum of two full A-levels (or equivalent) is required. Every application is considered on an individual basis.
