Film criticism is that literary genre that aims to tell, analyze, explain and judge a cinematographic work. It can be broadly divided into two currents, differentiated by the primary purpose of the critical operation as well as by the editorial site in which it is carried out: journalistic criticism, that is, the review, and theoretical criticism, that is, the study of cinema.
