Requirements

Admission Requirements to the Upper-Division Major:
Students at FSU should apply in the spring semester of their sophomore year to start the process of being accepted into the Entrepreneurship program the following Fall. More information and the application form are available on the web at .

Students, including transfer students, must apply by February 1st, 2021 and be committed to the 2-year curriculum (no courses are guaranteed to be offered in the summer). Admission criteria include academic achievement, evidence of prior entrepreneurial activity, and a compelling essay describing why you want to be an entrepreneur. Students must complete the admission requirements for this limited access program no later than the end of their second year in order to continue as a Commercial Entrepreneurship major.

Admission to the limited access JMC programs requires the following:
1) completion of at least 52 semester hours; and
2) a cumulative grade point average on all college work attempted of at least 2.70; and
3) satisfactory completion of all required prerequisite coursework with a final grade of C minus or better in each; and
4) Application to the Jim Moran College of Entrepreneurship.

Community college courses may not be substituted for 3000/4000 level courses. All courses must be completed with a grade of C minus or better.

All entrepreneurship majors must complete the thirty-six (36) credit hours as listed below. A grade of C minus or better must be earned in each course undertaken to satisfy the commercial entrepreneurship major area requirements.

All students should complete at least two electives (6 hours) offered by the Jim Moran College of Entrepreneurship.

Computer Skills Competency: ENT 3001 (3) Experiences in Entrepreneurship I meets this requirement for this major.

Oral Communication Competency: ENT 3111 (3) Creating Value through Customer Acquisition or GEB 3213 (3) Business Communication (only if double majoring in Business) meets this requirement for this major.
