Are you interested in mathematical theory and the application of mathematical methods to commercial and scientific problems? Our BSc Mathematics with Management provides a broad education in mathematics and the main concepts and methods of management. It concentrates on the methods and modelling techniques of mathematics, but also explains the theory behind them. Enhance your knowledge of a range of mathematical skills together with your understanding of management, including managerial economics.

Training in the mathematical sciences is highly valued by employers. Graduates in these subjects are in great demand and earn on average 10% more than other graduates. Around 35% have jobs in business or finance, with the next most popular choice being teaching, at around 10%.

This course is also available for full-time evening study over three years.

About this course

Graduates can pursue careers in business, banking and finance, research or analysis. This degree can also be useful in becoming a mathematical research scientist, actuary, management consultant or risk manager.

We welcome applicants without traditional entry qualifications as we base decisions on our own assessment of qualifications, knowledge and previous work experience. We may waive formal entry requirements based on judgement of academic potential.

A-level mathematics, or the equivalent, is desirable. Students without such a qualification are required to pass an entrance test including English and mathematics.
