About this course
Our standard requirement of five GCSEs at grade C or above and GCSE Art at C or above. Successful AS grade is required for progression to A2.

What will I study?

One year for AS and a further year for A2.
Do I need any additional qualifications/ skills?
How will I be assessed?
In unit form - units are assessed internally and externally moderated. There are two units at AS and a further two at A2.The units consist of a coursework portfolio (units 1 and 3) and externally set assignments (units 2 and 4).
What can I do afterwards?
Many students go on to one year pre-degree Foundation courses in Art and Design before specialising in BA hons degree courses or two year Foundation Degrees. For other students the Art qualification forms part of their general education and gives them a visual subject as part of their UCAS portfolio.
Are there any additional costs involved?
Art materials approx £70 per year and gallery visits at approx £20 per year.
