Course programme

Fires are devastating, resulting in many lost lives and serious injuries every year. Often the fire could have been avoided, or at least the consequences eased, by better preparation and briefing of the staff on hand.

Summary: Students go through a Workbook discussing the possible answers to questions about hazards relating to fires and their causes, control measures, reaction to alarms, and the use of extinguishers.

NB: This is a FIRE PREVENTION & SAFETY theory course – it does not require the students to use PPE nor to practice using hoses or extinguishers. (This can be arranged if desired.)

Recommended refresher after: 1 year
