Course Description
This course is equivalent to one A2 Level qualification in science. Candidates will study six units drawn from those listed below.Students who enrol on this two year course who change options after one year will not be awarded the equivalent of an AS Level (even if their first year is completed successfully).

Entry Requirements
At least 4 GCSEs at Grade D, one of which must be English. Or Level 2 skills/craft qualification (eg NVQ 2 or relevant work experience).

Attendance Modes: Day

Assessment: Your BTEC work is assessed by continuous assessment. Assignments are set regularly and you will be awarded Pass, Merit or Distinction grades. Your placement will require completion of a portfolio.

Progression Routes: You can progress to degree level study, particularly in the sciences, or indeed employment. BTEC is a nationally recognised examination board with an established track record.
