Technology now offers us the opportunity to work with people regardless of location. Who you impact with your training need no longer be restricted to those you can meet face to face.

Flipping the Online Classroom will help you to adapt your current offering as trainer or facilitator to the online, real-time environment.

In this six-session course, you’ll discover how to deliver your workshops online, without compromising on standards - or style.

Following the course, you will be able to create learning groups with people from multiple locations, saving the time and cost of travel and increasing group diversity.

You will also be able to use your new skills to facilitate online meetings to complement in-person training (before, after or between classes).

During one of the sessions, you will be able to deliver a short exercise and receive feedback from your peers and tutors. The first time is always the most daunting!

About this course

We will introduce you to some of the technology available, so that you can to pick the one that best suits your course and style.

You will learn how to apply facilitation and training principles such as small group work, brainstorming and group discussions to the online environment.

Finally, through your practice session, you will explore the limitations of current technology and be prepared to embrace future trends.

Experienced face to face trainers and facilitators who haven't got round to exploring the online environment.

Freelance trainers who want to expand their portfolio of work and work with clients in multiple locations without exhausting themselves with travel.

In-house trainers working in companies with more than one physical location.

You need to have experience in delivering training to groups or facilitating sessions.

This is not a MOOC - there will only be 8 of you in the virtual classroom. Think of it as a part-time Train the Trainer course, only instead of meeting in a physical location, you'll meet online.

Judy or Pilar, our tutors, will be in touch to check that this course will be of value to you.
