Course Aims:
To gain competence in flower arranging using fresh, dried and artificial plant materials to create modern and traditional designs.
Course Content:
Safety, identification, equipment and tools, plant material, design, shape, colour and texture will be covered. Students will learn how to create a variety of arrangements suitable for all occasions.

Assessment is informal and ongoing. Students will produce a portfolio of work showing completion/evidence of three mandatory units which are assessed by the tutor and verified by an external NCFE moderator. As an integral part of the course all students will be expected to complete a workbook evidencing competence in the assessment criteria.
