Forest guard course

The State Forestry Corps is a civilian police force (at least until February 2017, the month in which the Madia reform provides for the merger of the Forestry Corps-Carabinieri and the Forestry could become a military corps in all respects). The Forest Guards are responsible for protecting the Italian natural and landscape heritage, preventing and repressing environmental and agri-food crimes. In the mountains, the Forestry Guards are called upon to protect the safety of the inhabitants by preventing the risk of avalanches and providing rescue on the ski slopes. To access the State Forestry Corps it is necessary to pass the public admission competition and it is then possible to continue the career path with specific internal competitions. Depending on the role and career advancement, different training paths and qualifications are required (middle school diploma or high school diploma or degree) and different practical training.
