Forestry course

Forestry is the science that studies how to cultivate the forest. Without silviculture, the forest could not perform some fundamental tasks such as wood production or its landscape function. The purpose of forestry is to ensure that trees can grow and reproduce in the best possible way. The professional figure dedicated to the woods is that of the silviculturist. The forester performs various tasks. One of these is to take care of the forest and the plantation in such a way as to help protect your environment. The forester will also be involved in engineering activities (such as strengthening slopes) and building paths. The silviculturist also has the aim of providing remedies against plant parasites and damage caused by animals and the climate. It will also take care of carrying out forestry works for the consolidation of landslides. To be a good forester you need not only to have manual skills, but also to have good technical skills (to be able to make precise calculations to carry out, for example, the felling of a tree without causing excessive damage).
