The course is designed to develop the following skills: Conducting both practical and classroom lessons to a group. Constructing and conducting a test of basic operating skills. Writing a brief informative report on the trainees performance. Suitable for: This course is aimed at people with little or no previous experience of instructing who will be required to train, test and certificate new or existing operators to a recognised standard.

About this course
Applicants must be in possession of a current operator’s certificate of ‘basic operating skills’ for the type of machine nominated at booking, issued within a period of 12 months prior to the commencement of the course.

Course programme
Through theoretical and practical assessments recognised by the Association of Industrial Truck Trainers (AITT) accredited by the Health and Safety Commission (HSC), successful candidates will be certified and their names be entered onto the register of AITT and the Independent Training Standards Scheme and Register (ITSSAR) for a period of 5 years. Their employers will receive a written assessment on each candidate’s progress and achievements with a certificate of attendance.
