This course is aimed at learners with mild to moderate learning difficulties who have chosen a vocational goal and are demonstrating the personal and social skills necessary to cope with mainstream or ILS vocational provision at the end of the course. Applicants will need to attend a successful interview/taster session to make sure the course is right for them. Students attend classes in small groups (in a maximum of 12) with a Tutor and Learning Support Assistants. Each learner has an individual learning plan (ILP). Outside visits and guest speakers will be included to assist learning where relevant. A variety of assessment methods are used including observations. Assessments will be completed in class time. After 1 year, you could progress to: All learners will have regular tutorials, careers education guidance and access to pastoral support.
