About this course

Progression Opportunities:
It allows candidates to progress into a more senior role or possibly (depending on job role) to progress on to the following OCR qualification:
QCF/NVQ Level 3 Certificate in Business and Administration

Entry Requirements:
We would require a pre-course meeting with you and your employer to discuss the course and to establish that this level and course content is suitable. We will also check that the candidate has the ability to demonstrate competence in administrative working practices within their current work role.

Course Delivery:

The Apprenticeship Framework at Level 2 consists of the following qualifications:

1. QCF/NVQ Level 2 Diploma in Business Administration (10383 - OCR)
2. Essential Skills (Wales) at Level 1 in: Communication, Application of Numbers and Digital Literacy

The QCF/ NVQ has mandatory units such as:

  • Communication in a business environment
  • Manage personal performance and development
  • Develop working relationships with colleagues


Also this qualification offers a wide range of job-specific optional units covering topics such as:

  • Use and maintain office equipment
  • Produce business documents
  • Store and retrieve information
  • Provide reception services
  • Meet and welcome visitors
  • Manage diary systems
  • Collate and report data
  • Provide administrative support for meetings
  • Contribute to the co-ordination of an event
  • Organise business travel or accommodation
  • Maintain and issue stationery supplies
  • Health and safety in a business environment
