The Foundation Degree in Equestrian Performance and Coaching is aimed at individuals interested in equine management, training and equestrian coaching.A variety of core and specialist modules are studied over the two years to improve industry, academic and research skills.Riding and non-riding options are available to suit the individual.This course will aim to provide direct progression opportunities to individuals within the fields of equine management, equestrian training and coaching and has been designed to appeal to students with a variety of previous equestrian experience.This is a two-year full-time course after successfully completing this programme you will have to opportunity to progress onto the BSc Honours in Equestrian Performance and Coaching (Top Up) at Northumberland College or go into the workplace using the qualifications you have gained.The programme places emphasis on practical experience, the acquisition of vital industry skills and the underlying theoretical concepts, and will support further opportunities to gain British Horse Society (BHS) and UK Coaching Certificate (UKCC) qualifications to further enhance career prospects.

About this course

You will need a Level 3 qualification in a related subject equivalent to a minimum of 48 UCAS points. You should also have GCSEs in English and Mathematics at grades A* to C or 9 to 4, or Level 2 equivalent qualifications.Applications from mature students with relevant industry experience are also welcome.Applicants are required to have achieved GCSEs at grade C or above in Maths, English and Science (or equivalent).***PLEASE NOTE Applications should be made Via the UCAS site at UCAS Code:D4R2
