Are you currently working, or looking to work with children, and looking to develop your skills and knowledge? Could a recognised qualification help you to advance your career? This Foundation Degree is suitable for professionals who work with children in a wide range of roles or those willing to participate in voluntary work placement. It is particularly suitable for those adults who are currently working/volunteering in an early years setting or at Key Stage 1, 2 or 3 in local schools. If you have years of experience, or if you are relatively new to the sector, the course builds on your experience and allows you to gain new skills. It also helps you to recognise more clearly the skills you have already. Vocational practice Students will be accepted who meet the following criteria: Academic requirements A relevant childcare level 3 qualification with a minimum overall grade profile as below: It is possible for experienced childcare practitioners to enter the programme with a NVQ Level 3 qualification in a relevant field of practice. Interview All candidates will be asked to attend an interview to ensure that both parties understand the vocational commitment required.
