· Course Overview: · Business is big across the world so if you are aiming for a career in the global business marketplace then the FD in International Business can help you get there! This course is part of the suite of business programmes delivered in the Business & Professional Studies area. Globalisation has made the study of International Business more crucial then ever so a career in international business can provide you with the skills, knowledge and attributes that are currently in demand from graduates. You will cover the fundamentals of business, gaining knowledge of core business operations in an international context, including International Business Environment, Inter-cultural Communication, Marketing, Ethics, Finance, HR and Information Systems. You can also study Innovation and Creativity, learning how to identify opportunities to improve business performance in an international context. The course will also help you to develop skills in applying business and management theories by working on case studies or live company briefs. You will also gain personal, academic and professional skills through Personal Development Planning and gain valuable skills through Work-Related learning that allows you to engage with local employers. If you are already in a work setting then the course is designed as a way of developing and applying work related skills. Entry Requirements: · Applicants should possess a BTEC National Diploma or two A levels in a related subject as well as a GCSE grade C in English and Maths. We welcome applications from mature students where experience will be taken into account recognising that you may be skilled to level 3 without a formal qualification. All applicants will be interviewed where you will be expected to demonstrate enthusiasm and commitment.
