Entry requirements: 2 GCE A levels or Access to HE Certificate or BTEC National Diploma or VCE A level / Double award and GCSE English (Grade C) and GCSE Mathematics (Grade C) or equivalent. Applications from people over 21 without the above qualifications but with relevant experience and or other qualifications are also encouraged. All applicants will be considered on their individual merit and commitment to study. Course Content:
Year 1 - Introduction to Islamic Studies, Introduction to the Qur¿an, Personal, Academic and Professional Development. Year 2 - Introduction to Islamic Jurisprudence, Arabic 1, Employability. Year 3 - Foundation Studies in Hadith, Arabic 2, Work Placement. Year 4 - Islamic Spirituality, Islam in the Modern World, Research project.

This course has been designed for people who wish to develop their knowledge and understanding of Islamic Studies and also gain a higher level qualification. The combination of academic knowledge and vocational skills gained on the programme will enable students to improve their effectiveness in the workplace or progress to the final stage of an Islamic Studies degree.
