Additional information

The two year programme consists of mandatory and optional modules at Level 4 (year 1) and Level 5 (year 2) and these will include substantial mathematics and mechanical & electrical science, as well as thermodynamics, liquid mechanics and aerodynamics, as related to race vehicles.

Approximately 40% of the curriculum is work-related or work-based learning. Full time students undertake college-based, work-related learning which will include a final year major project.

This qualification is accredited through the University of Brighton to IEng (Incorporated Engineer) status by both the IET and IMechE, the professional bodies for engineering internationally. This ensures our graduates the best chance in industry, as employers typically seek internationally ratified, professionally registered Engineers for quality assurance of their staff.
