Do you have passion and enthusiasm for the beauty and spa industry? If so, this course offers you a unique opportunity to enhance and develop your career, giving you the opportunity to work within this multimillion pound growth area. The programme is designed to equip you with both the theoretical underpinning knowledge and technical skills needed to successfully hold a salon managerial role within the spa industry. It will also give you the practical experience as well as the professional attitudes needed to succeed in this role within the sector.
You will gain a thorough understanding of the spa environment from every angle, with a particular emphasis on business and management threading continually throughout your programme. As well as gaining invaluable work experience within our own professionally appointed salons, through our strong employer links you will also have the opportunity to gain a placement in various salons, spas and clinics in and around Swansea and the South Wales area. Your study programme will span across two academic years - at the end of which you can either choose to leave with a highly regarded foundation degree qualification or – progress to the final stage of a degree programme to gain full degree status.

The programme will be assessed through a structured mix of assessments which will include assignments, essays, practical assessments, management reports, exams and field study work placement
Assessments will also aim to support the development in managing ICT, communication and numeracy skills for industry, and key skills development notably task management, problem solving, team work, personal development and leadership.
