The Programme
This contemporary and challenging course encourages new ways of thinking about the Theatre and at the same time develops practical awareness of all aspects of operating in a Theatre Company. Students will organise shows and be involved in performing, stage management, technical support, design or front of house. In the second year you will be able to concentrate on whichever aspect interests you most as a Performer, Designer or Manager.
The Programme Content
The course covers all aspects of Theatre including Performance, Company Operation, Education, Planning Directing and Scenography to name a few of the modules.
In the second year you will also study one of three optional modules in Performance, Management or Design.
Assessment will be through the performances and the written submissions in each module. Performances will be recorded.
Entry Requirements

Full time two years.
Costs
Students will be required to purchase their own USB memory stick and will need to purchase their own texts for the course. There will also be a small fee charged for contribution towards photocopying.
Progression Careers
Upon successful completion students will be able to progress to Stage 3 of the BA (Hons) Theatre and Performance at the University of Plymouth.
Almost one quarter of Performing Arts graduates enter a media, literacy or creative field whilst a small percentage enters some form of teaching. There are also opportunities to join theatre companies as Performers, Administrators or Back Stage. Other more diverse career opportunities are in Health Care, Administration, Publishing and Retail.
