Foundation Diploma In Construction And The Built Environment Level 1

What will I study?
This course relates to Construction and the Built Environment.
You will explore a range of varied industries such as architecture,
structural steelwork, heating and ventilation, painting and
decorating and surveying.
In addition functional skills in English, maths and ICT will be
delivered within the built environment context. You will also have
the opportunity to develop personal, learning and thinking skills,
such as team working and creative working.

What can I do next?
This could lead to study on a Level 2 Diploma or a career in a
wide range of construction and built environment sectors.

• construction trades
• surveying
• architecture
• structural engineering
• building control
• environmental areas

What are the entry requirements?
You will need to have a good level of English and maths,
complete an initial assessment and have evidence of a previous
excellent record of attendance, punctuality and commitment from
your school or college. You will also need to attend an interview
where you will be expected to clearly demonstrate your interest and
commitment.

What will it cost?

If you are under 19 and a home student, in most circumstances, you
don't pay any fees. However, you will need to find this out when
you apply.
